Notes From The Road

Recently we got out of town and headed west for some fun in the desert. Big Bend / Terlingua for those of you wondering. In addition to a having a good time there was one other mission our friend Jesse had in mind. Ride his modified Ducati Scrambler 100+ miles off road through the desert. We do not recommend trying this with your stock Ducati desert sled. Jesse spent the last couple of years slowly prepping his bike for this ride. First upgrade, tires and wheels, he opted to go with a 21inch Excel wheel in the front and 18 inch in the back wrapped with Motoz Rallz tires. Since this bike is intended for street use primarily Jesse designed and welded up some custom crash bars and a skid plate to protect the essential engine and exhaust components. The last thing you want in the middle of the desert is a big rock to decide you're not getting home the way you came out. Last but no less important were the addition of some Barkbuster hand guards. After successfully completing 100+ miles off road on his Ducati he decided to celebrate and rip the local dirt roads some more. We couldn't resist the scenic back drops and decided to photograph some new items while taking in the warm sun and dry air. Fresh spring shirts from Katin and Far Afield available in-store and online now. reservesupplycompany.com
